Everyone of my semester chose one typeface to present on their website.
We showcased our websites all together
on our yearly semester exhibition.

Concept
I wanted to make the website feel as playful as possible – almost as if it was alive and reacting to the user. Thus, I incorporated a lot of interactive elements which can be used to discover the typeface in detail. To practice how to rhythmically place elements, we analyzed multiple websites and abstracted their elements on paper cutouts. This made them usable like an analogue toolkit.

Process
With this project, I really pushed Figma's limits as far as I could. Figma isn't the greatest software for fancy interactive elements, on-scroll animations and glass morphisms which was quite frustrating. However, it gave me a deep understanding of what the tool is capable of.
FYI: I used the glass morphism effect before it was cool. A month after my project was done, Apple released their new liquid glass design and Figma intruduced native support for glass effects.

Learnings
There always is a workaround
No matter how much I hated Figma for not supporting functionality for what I wanted to do, I always somehow found a way to either still make it possible or to shape my idea until it was possible within limitations.
