small intro title to drive curiosity within three lines
Inspired by Masta Ace's song "Mr. Bus Driver", this magazine explores the feeling of being lost while finding one's identity through both visual and editorial content. The concept we developed splits the magazine into two, flippable parts: a bright and dark side of life which are both covered in Masta Ace's music. The magazine contains both illustrations, as well as photography to underline the emotions of loneliness and hope. To complement the printed magazine, a website was created that presents the content digitally.
This pages only show my work. Emely's strength was illustrating, while I enjoyed bold typography and layouts. To make both styles come together naturally, we used a marker font all over the magazine.

Print requires precision
As this was my first project after having worked on multiple websites, it was astonishing to learn how much more precision work a printed product takes, especially when it comes to preprint.
Working with two different visions
Emely and I had very different approaches regarding this project. Yet we found a compromise that satisfied both of us.
